What’s wrong with UHURU/ RUTO’s Govt? Here is another scandal that will rob us more than 1.5b

Even with the recent purge on corruption by President Uhuru Kenyatta that has seen 1/3 of his Cabinet sent packing and several other senior Government officials interdicted, the ghost still haunts the Jubilee administration.

Pressure is mounting on the Government, through the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), to pay a whopping sh1.5 billion for the supply of election kits which were never delivered.

Sources intimated that some brokers, led by a prominent Jubilee MP from North Eastern and a cartel of officials from the Treasury, want IEBC Chief Executive Officer, Ezra Chiloba, to pay Equip Agencies Ltd sh 1.53 billion for the supply of Universal Polling Kits (UPK), which according to the Auditor General, Edward Ouko, were never delivered.

A special audit report for the 2013 elections dated June 2014 established that out of the 34, 000 kits that were to be delivered before elections, Equip Agencies only delivered 5, 000 one year after the polls.

But even with the damning report, IEBC has been slapped with a sh1.5 billion bill and Chiloba is now under pressure from some corrupt officials in Government and a prominent politician to pay the money because the contract still stands even after elections.

“The IEBC Secretariat is being pushed to process the payment even with the damning audit findings. Powerful forces within IEBC and Treasury are insisting the contract still holds and he must pay,” said one of the senior members of IEBC who refused to be named.

SEE UWhat RAILA secretly told UHURU in Kisumu on Tuesday about 2017 - You will be SHOCKED

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has asked CORD supporters to take ID cards and register as voters in large numbers to ensure he wins the 2017 General Election by hook or crook.

Addressing Gor Mahia fans at Kenyatta Grounds in Kisumu when he launched the team’s new brand of bread, Raila said the only way to send President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, to the Opposition in 2017 is by registering as voters in large numbers to give CORD the tyranny of numbers.

He fired a warning salvo at Jubilee telling Uhuru/ Ruto to prepare for a fierce battle in 2017 because this time he must win no matter what.

The former PM revealed that he secretly told President Kenyatta when they shared the podium in Kisumu on Tuesday that the 2017 campaigns will be like no other and that he should come prepared to lose and be ready to hand over power to him.

“I told Uhuru at the Devolution Conference that I will give him a run for is money in 2017. He better take that advice or else he will have himself to blame after I occupy State House,” Raila told his supporters amid cheers.

“Uhuru/ Ruto had better be worried because the kind of politics that we have started for 2017 is the kind that has never been seen in this country. They should know that our destination is State House,” he added.

JUBILEE HAS NOW BOUGHT FORMER SPEAKER KENNETH MARENDE

Former House Speaker Kenneth Marende has landed a big job in the Government of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto.

This is after he was elected as a board member of the Kenya Power.

His election to a public institution comes following his exit from Parliament two years ago.

Marende received the highest votes in an election where all former directors who were seeking re-election lost out, including Chairman Eliazar Ochola, Patrick Obath and Jacob Mwirigi.

The poling results showed Uhuru/ Ruto’s Government supported Marende’s candidature given that the State owns 50.08% share of KPLC which is crucial for anyone to sail through as a director in the utility firm.

Kenya Power has 27, 000 shareholders who exercise weighted voting rights, where one’s vote is equivalent to their stake.

Marende exited from politics to pursue personal business and vowed to make a comeback in 2016 where he intends to run for one of the big seats in the country.

This is why Raila did not enjoy his christmas

Former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, on Thursday said he never going to enjoy his Christmas holiday because of the Security Bill that was signed into law by President Uhuru Kenyatta last week.

Addressing faithful after attending a Christmas Mass at a Nairobi church, Raila, who is also the CORD leader, said the new security laws are retrogressive and target opposition leaders and some Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs).

Raila said currently, CORD coalition is waiting for the outcome of the court after the coalition filed a petition seeking to block the implementation of the new law.

He said if the court fails to block the security laws, his coalition will call for mass action to compel the Government drop them.

“We are ready to move all over the country and educate Kenyans on why we the opposition are against the new laws,” Raila said

During the function, Raila was accompanied by his wife, Mama Ida Odinga.

This is the letter to Hon Simba Arati every Kenyan wants to see

Mheshimiwa Simba Arati, we the people of Dagoreti North wish to thank you for your services to us. Ever since we sent you to the August House, you have always been august to us. We thank God for blessing us with such a wonderful and industrious leader. For sure, it feels us with a mesmerizing emotion we cannot express with words.

Sir, this letter is intended primarily to honor not only the personality, but also symbolize a great moral code – – the code of conduct and chivalry of a man who has jealously guarded our beloved constituency and its ancient decent.

Still at the infancy stage as a member of parliament, the projects initiated by you have already spoken. That is the animation of this appreciation epistle.

Strikingly, when you expressed your interest to lead the sophisticated people of Dagoreti, they believed in you. They saw a great and honest bloke in you, thus accepting your candidature. For the shortest time you have been at the helm of affairs, you’ve proved to be a rock in the middle of the ocean – the rock that does not fear rain.

When they harassed our senators, you nobly risked your being just to fortify them; an ideal that aroused a sense of pride and humility which will be with us invariably. Duty, selflessness and Servant-leadership, are the three hallowed rallying points that can reverently dictate your personality.

Sir, you have built courage where courage had seemed to fail. Thank you for regaining the faith that was once lost with the previous leadership. Thank you for creating hope for the valiant people of Dagoreti North – the hope that was forlorn at one time.

Mheshimiwa, we may possess neither the eloquence of diction, the poetry of imagination nor the brilliance of metaphor to be able to express to you the intensity of our gratitude. But sincerely, we do. Nonetheless, critics might say they are just but simple words, or a naive mantra, or just a damnable flamboyant phrase.

Mwesh, beware of pedants, demagogues, cynics, trouble makers and hypocrites who will try to downgrade your morale and noble activities to the extent of ridicule and mockery. Thank God you have already built your basic character. You have molded your future roles as a custodian of your constituents’ defense.

We thank God for critics who have made you strong enough to identify your weakness, brave enough to face yourself when you are troubled. By berating you, they have taught you to be unbending and proud in honest failure, to be gentle and humble in success. They have taught you not to substitute words for actions, not to seek the asylum in comfort but to take the bull by its horns by facing the spur and stress of challenge and difficulty.
By openly hurling oral stones at you, they have helped you learn to stand up against the tempest but be rich in compassion on the ones who fall. They have assisted you to master your ego before seeking to master the rest. They have helped you in acquiring a clean heart and a high goal.

They have helped you to learn how to laugh without forgetting how to weep. Through critics, you have learnt how to reach into the future without neglecting the past. You have learnt to be serious without taking yourself too seriously. You have learnt to be modest so as to remember the simplicity of true greatness.

GOD BLESS OUR MP, GOD BLESS DAGORETI NORTH, GOD BLESS KENYA

Is Margaret Wanjiru planning to Go Back to Raila's ODM ?

Barely a month after officially ditching former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s ODM and joining President Uhuru Kenyatta’s TNA, former Starehe MP and Jesus Is Alive Ministry founder, Bishop Margret Wanjiru, is yet to find peace and settle.

This is after it emerged that Wanjiru is facing rebellion within TNA more than she was in ODM.

Sources reveal that TNA has not yet embraced the Bishop fully as some party members still view her with suspicion on her ambition to be the Nairobi Governor in 2017 on a TNA ticket, the first woman Governor for that matter.

And to make matters worse, President Uhuru Kenyatta, who was absent during her grand reception in TNA and left it for Johnston Sakaja and Onyango Oloo, has not had time for her even after betraying the former PM for his sake.

There are whispers in Kenya’s political circles that Wanjiru has not met President Uhuru Kenyatta ever since she joined TNA despite the many calls she has made to the house on the hill.

However, despite all these frustrations, Bishop Wanjiru has not indicated whether or not she will be going back to Raila Odinga’s ODM after what the party did to her in the run up to the 2013 General Elections.

Eliud Owalo writes to the UN demanding that Kenya be sanctioned

Eliud Owalo has written to the International Community to punish Kenya and Uhuru/ Ruto’s Government over the new security laws.

In a letter to the UN and other global financial institutions, Owalo, who is a Nairobi based consultant and Raila’s close confidante, appealed to the International Community to impose political and economic sanctions on Kenya to teach Uhuru/ Ruto a lesson for enacting punitive laws, which he termed as draconian and retrogressive.

Owalo argues that the National Assembly unprocedurally and forcibly passed the security laws without subjecting them to full public participation and scrutiny as required by law.

“I am appealing to you to come in as agents of necessity by imposing political and economic sanctions against President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Government to occasion the forestalling of the new security laws,” said Owalo.

“The Bill was hurriedly passed despite strong opposition within and outside the House,” he added.

He addressed the letter to EU, AU, United Nations Security Council, World Bank, IMF, International Human Rights Agency, International Press Institute and United Nations High Commission for Human Rights.
